About Gooding County Republican Party

The Gooding County Republican Party is the official governing body of the Republican Party in Gooding County, a rural agricultural county in south-central Idaho’s Magic Valley region with a population of approximately 16,000. The committee organizes Republican party activities across the county, including voter outreach, candidate support in District 26 legislative races, and coordination with the Idaho Republican Party on statewide campaigns. Gooding County’s economy is dominated by dairy farming, irrigated crop agriculture (potatoes, hay, sugar beets, and grain), and related agribusiness. Like most rural Magic Valley counties, Gooding County votes heavily Republican in general elections, and the committee works with the Idaho Republican Party and Magic Valley regional party organizations to support Republican candidates at all levels.
