The Idaho Association of Commerce and Industry (IACI) is Idaho’s premier statewide business advocacy organization, led since 2006 by President Alex LaBeau. Founded in 1920, IACI is one of the oldest continuously operating business organizations in Idaho and among the most influential forces in Idaho’s political landscape. The organization lobbies the Idaho Legislature and executive agencies on behalf of business interests, focusing on tax policy, workers’ compensation reform, regulatory streamlining, workforce development, and economic growth. IACI produces an annual scorecard rating legislators on business-related votes and conducts a biennial business climate survey measuring Idaho’s economic competitiveness.
