About Idaho Freedom Caucus PAC

The Idaho Freedom Caucus PAC is the official campaign finance arm of the Idaho Freedom Caucus, a bloc of the most ideologically conservative members of the Idaho Legislature whose members hold some of the highest scores on the Idaho Freedom Foundation’s Freedom Index. Registered at 1107 East Sherman Ave in Coeur d’Alene, the PAC is affiliated with the national State Freedom Caucus Network (SFCN), founded by former U.S. Rep. Andy Biggs of Arizona to coordinate state-level Freedom Caucus chapters. The PAC has supported the campaigns of IFC members including Sen. Scott Herndon (District 1) and Sen. Glenneda Zuiderveld (District 24). A May 2024 InvestigateWest investigation revealed a secret recording in which SFCN power broker Maria Nate pressured a legislator to remain “in lockstep” with IFC positions and criticized Rep. Heather Scott for supporting a “moderate” House Speaker. The PAC operates within a network that includes the Idaho Freedom Foundation, Stop Idaho RINOs, and Citizens Alliance of Idaho.
