The Idaho House Republican Caucus is the official political organization of Republican members of the Idaho House of Representatives, currently led by Speaker Mike Moyle of Star, who has served as Speaker since 2023. Republicans hold a supermajority of approximately 56-58 of the Idaho House’s 70 seats, giving the caucus dominant control over the chamber’s agenda, committee assignments, and budget process. The caucus raises funds through its own PAC to support incumbent Republican House members’ re-election campaigns and to recruit candidates for open seats and competitive races. The caucus coordinates legislative strategy and messaging among House Republican members during the legislative session, which typically runs January through April, and works to maintain the Republican majority that has governed the Idaho House for decades.
