Originally from Ohio, she moved to the Palouse more than two decades ago, making Idaho her true home. She raised four children here, who thrived in Idaho’s schools, sports, and arts programs. Julia’s time in Moscow and her experience on the City Council have given her a firsthand understanding of the challenges Idahoans face and the resilience that defines her community.

A Moscow Democrat is far out-raising her Republican incumbent opponent in the District 6 Senate race. Julia Parker, a nurse and Moscow City Council member, is challenging Sen. Dan Foreman, R-Viola. Foreman, 70, is a retired military and law enforcement officer and has served two terms in the Idaho Senate — his first term was from 2016 to 2018.
