Tom Hearn has lived in Idaho since 1976 and Kootenai County since 1981. He worked for Health and Welfare in child welfare services for 9 years and then owned a private mental health clinic in Coeur d'Alene from 1986 until he retired in 2013. He is married with 2 children and 4 grandchildren. He has been elected to the Coeur d'Alene School Board and appointed to the Kootenai School Board. He also has been on a number of state and local boards including appointments by Democratic and Republican governors. He is currently running for State Senate in Idaho's Second District.

If you want an honest, hardworking and respected individual to represent you in the Idaho State Legislature then your vote needs to go to Tom Hearn for Senator in District 2. He has experience in serving on two school boards and statewide boards. He has a history of working in a bi-partisan manner. He was appointed to several state boards by Democrat Governor Cecil Andrus and Republican Governors Dirk Kempthorne and Butch Otter. He has expertise in mental health as well. His goals are to be an advocate for rural communities, a voice for public education including higher education, medical and mental health services, protection of public lands, roads and rural economic development.

Constituents from Idaho’s Legislative District 2 have submitted a letter to the Idaho Secretary of State’s Office requesting an investigation into Republican state Sen. Phil Hart’s residency. Hart, who is in his first term in the Idaho Senate, and has previously served four terms in the Idaho House, is registered at an address in Kellogg. He is running for reelection in the Nov. 5 general election against challenger Tom Hearn, a Saint Maries Democrat.
