Sen. Glenneda Zuiderveld, R-Twin Falls, now in her second term at the statehouse, attended the town hall with three newly elected Republican lawmakers Sen. Josh Kohl, Rep. Clint Hostetler and Rep. David Leavitt. All four have been endorsed by Magic Valley Liberty Alliance PAC, a group dedicated to taking on “liberal, corrupt politicians” and to elect lawmakers who “preserve liberty and freedom,” according to the organization’s website.
About
The Magic Valley Liberty Alliance (MVLA) is a conservative advocacy organization and political action committee founded in 2021 in the Twin Falls area of south-central Idaho. Critics, including the Twin Falls Times-News editorial board, have characterized MVLA as a Christian nationalist organization whose political activism has introduced confrontational and divisive tactics into Magic Valley civic life. MVLA describes its own mission as "rooting out corruption, electing conservative representation, and preserving liberty and freedom" through public education "through a constitutional lens" and direct electoral engagement. The organization's published Allies/Partnerships page explicitly lists the Idaho Freedom Foundation as an allied organization, alongside Citizens Alliance of Idaho and Young Americans for Liberty (YAL). MVLA publishes lists of legislators it labels RINOs — Republicans In Name Only — and has specifically targeted Sen. Linda Wright Hartgen as "the area's biggest RINO," while naming Twin Falls County Commissioner Jack Nelsen its "2025 RINO of the Year." MVLA has been documented deploying confrontational crowd tactics — including organizing groups of 20-30 activists to attend candidate forums and public meetings — and reportedly distributing a deceptive voter guide that mimicked Republican Party materials while featuring only MVLA-endorsed candidates. MVLA partnered with Young Americans for Liberty on door-to-door canvassing operations targeting legislative races in Magic Valley districts, and hosted Idaho Republican Party Chairman Dorothy Moon at a MVLA-organized event at the College of Southern Idaho opposing Proposition 1. The organization is closely aligned with the bloc of eight Magic Valley legislators who joined the State Freedom Caucus Network in 2025 and include Sen. Glenneda Zuiderveld (District 24). In the May 2024 primary, MVLA-aligned candidates won four legislative seats in Magic Valley districts 24 and 25, which Idaho Reports characterized as the "Magic Valley Miracle." The organization also operates MVLA PAC for direct campaign contributions.

‘We are paying attention’: Idaho Secretary of State sees influx of campaign finance complaints
In April, the Idaho Secretary of State’s Office sent a letter to a group based in the Magic Valley asking it to comply with campaign finance laws. The group, the Magic Valley Liberty Alliance, had created and sent out unofficial voter guides to local residents highlighting the platforms of candidates who stood against abortion, “woke ideologies” and tax reduction.
