2026 Primary Races
All candidates for the May 19, 2026 Idaho primary election — state legislature, statewide offices, county offices, and precinct committeemen.
What is a Precinct Committeeman (PCO)?▾
Precinct Committeemen (PCOs) are the grassroots foundation of political parties in Idaho. Each precinct elects one Republican PCO and one Democratic PCO during the primary election. PCOs attend county central committee meetings, help turn out voters in their precincts, and vote to fill vacancies in legislative seats between elections.
Important: PCO races are party-specific — you vote for your own party's PCO. If you're registered Republican, you vote for the Republican PCO in your precinct; registered Democrats vote for the Democratic PCO.
