The Idaho Dairy Industry PAC represents the political interests of Idaho’s dairy farming and processing sector, one of the state’s most economically significant agricultural industries. Idaho ranks among the top three dairy-producing states in the nation, generating approximately $3.9 billion in annual farm-gate dairy receipts, with the Magic Valley region home to the largest concentration of large-scale dairy operations in the state. The PAC supports candidates who back policies favorable to dairy operations, including water rights protections on the Snake River aquifer system, environmental regulations that balance farming operational needs with groundwater quality, and trade policies that support dairy exports to key markets including Mexico and Asia. The organization works alongside the Idaho Dairymen’s Association and coordinates with the Idaho Farm Bureau and other agricultural organizations to advance the dairy industry’s legislative agenda at both the state and federal level.
