Marisela Pesina, from Caldwell, Idaho, currently chairs the Caldwell School Board. She emphasizes the importance of diversity in local boards and commissions, believing all communities should be represented in decision-making. Marisela values LGBTQ+ acceptance and easily builds friendships. Fluent in both English and Spanish, she excels in translation and interpretation. As a mentor to a CVI Fellow, she aims to inspire them to advocate for the underrepresented.
