Steve Tanner moved to Idaho in 2017. Spending a significant portion of his life in California, he earned degrees from California State University, Long Beach, UC Santa Barbara, and Fuller Theological Seminary. With a professional background in data analysis and programming, Tanner was engaged in pastoral work in Simi Valley, California, developing an interest in mental health. Upon relocating to Idaho seven years ago, he became involved as a Republican precinct committeeman in District 13. Tanner ranks highly with hardline conservative Idaho Freedom Foundation and is endorsed by their affiliate Idaho Freedom PAC.
